Application Form

An application form can be obtained by requesting one from the Academy's office. We will email you an application as an attachment (MS Word format). You save the document on your computer, and fill in the blanks. If you do not have MS Word, we can mail you a hard copy. When you send us the request, please tell us how you heard about the Academy and our certification program. Was it from a friend, from surfing the web, from the NAEP, or some other connection?

When you have decided to apply, please send us the non-refundable $125 application fee. Note that there is a $125 certification fee if your application is accepted. The form for submitting this payment is included with the application materials that we will email to you, and it also is available in PDF format, above.

Once your application fee has been paid, we will open an application file in your name. In it, we will collect your transcripts, letters of recommendation, and the other application materials. You are responsible for getting that information to ABCEP within one year of the application fee payment.

When you have finished your essays and completed the application, you will mail us a printed, signed original, and email it to us as well. We need to have it in paper and in electronic format so we can efficiently circulate it to the Certification Review Board.

Some applicants use email to request letters of recommendation from their professional colleagues.
