Dr. Patricia Dooris, CEP has a broad background in the applied natural sciences. Primary experience lies in the areas of surface water ecology, water chemistry, and habitat evaluation as related to water and land resources management in Florida. Geographically, she has worked in many of the rivers, lakes, and wetlands in Florida. Dr. Dooris' 32 years of experience in Florida include technical and supervisory work in government, the private sector, and the academic setting. She has conducted work and prepared reports in many technical areas of environmental science including: Water quality assessments, habitat evaluations, wetlands restoration and mitigation, wetland and upland vegetation and faunal surveys, benthic invertebrate studies, historical land cover analyses, PD&E studies for roadway and bridge, Environmental Impact Statements, and Environmental Assessments/FONSIs. She is also familiar with federal, state, and regional permitting procedures. Dr Dooris is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, Society for Wetlands Scientists, National Association of Environmental Professionals, Academy of Board Certified Environmental Professionals, and Florida Academy of Science.
Dr Dooris received the Bachelor of Science in Biology with emphasis in organismal biology from Georgia State University in 1968. She earned the Master of Science in Zoology from the University of Georgia in 1972 where she specialized in invertebrate zoology. In 1978, Dr Dooris received the Ph.D. in Biology from the University of South Florida where she focused in the areas of environmental chemistry, limnology, benthic invertebrates and phytoplankton.

Mr. Joe Gilio, CEP has had a broad academic background for an academic career which evolved into a private consulting and environmental contracting firm for the last 22 years. He is the responsible person in charge for evaluating, designing, permitting, implementing, monitoring and maintaining environmental mitigation/restoration projects in private and public developments. Habitats include lakes, wetlands (brackish and fresh), rare-endangered-threatened and special concern (RETS areas, aquatic and terrestrial). Mr. Gilio pioneered the successful establishment of constructed storm water retention systems into lakes mimicking natural lake ecosystems through the planning, installation and maintenance of littoral zones both emergent and submerged [EAV and SAV]. The latter has proven to be particularly effective at achieving very low nutrient concentration in storm water runoff system. He successfully designed / built the first rapid flow wetland system in Martin County, a system that it has been frequently copied in the last 12 years. His firm has also successfully completed permits, such as USACOE, FDER, and SFWMD, a wetland mitigation bank, mangrove trimming/alteration permits, and FF&WLCC RETS relocation permits.
Mr. Gilio's earned a degree in chemistry (B.S. Fordham), zoology/ limnology (M.S.) Cornell and doctoral studies in marine science (no degree at RASMS /U of Miami). He has several refereed publications and other technical papers on biogeochemistry and lake/ wetland restoration.
