CEP-Express is under construction and new things are on the horizon for ABCEP!

ABCEP has undertaken a complete replacement of the CEP-Express system to better serve our Members.  We have contracted with a new service provider to provide a state-of-the-art replacement for CEP-Express.  We expect implementation of our new system by February 2019 and look forward to sharing these improvements with you at that time!  

The CEP Express application system is unavailable until further notice. This means you are unable to access your CEP application or access your member profile as a current CEP.  Your data is secure; it’s just not accessible at this time.

Thank you for your understanding and patience during this transition time. 

For existing CEPs and CEP-ITs: Be on the lookout for instructions in December on how you can renew your membership dues for 2019 and how to submit your maintenance hours for 2018. 

However, if you are a new or in-process applicant for a CEP, CEP by Eminence, or CEP-IT, you can continue to move the application along outside of the CEP-Express system.  Please complete the application in its entirety and send it and all required components office@abcep.org or mail to ABCEP, Post Office Box 460, Collingswood, New Jersey, 08108.

The Academy of Board Certified Environmental Professionals (ABCEP) is a professional association dedicated to serving the environmental professional community. It is the lead organization certifying environmental professionals; maintaining exemplary standards of ethics and technical practice; and supporting individuals, our profession and the public relying upon our services. The Academy's primary mission is to confer the Certified Environmental Professional credential to meritorious environmental professionals found to meet exemplary standards of ethics and technical practice. The process used by this Academy to certify environmental professionals is accredited by the Council of Engineering & Scientific Specialty Boards.

ABCEPs History:

For the last 30 years the Certified Environmental Professional (CEP) credential has been awarded to senior managers and other qualified individuals as a way to demonstrate their professional skills and high standards of conduct. The CEP designation is a national system of excellence and says to employers, clients, colleagues and the public that an individual is a knowledgeable, experienced, and dedicated professional. The CEP is awarded after a comprehensive review of their background, their abilities, and their knowledge. Most CEPs have at least ten years of experience in the field.

At its inception, the CEP Program operated under the auspices of the National Association of Environmental Professionals (NAEP), In 1999, ABCEP was incorporated as a non-profit organization, independent of NAEP. Since then, the CEP and CEP-IT designation has been made available to the broader environmental community. As a result, the number of CEPs has grown, and several organizations, in addition to NAEP, endorse ABCEP as their recommended organization for certification.

ABCEP is a member of the Board of the Council of Engineering and Scientific Specialty Boards (CESB); ABCEPs Certification Program is fully accredited by the CESB.

 

 

Certified Environmental Professional

Certification credentials exceeds requirements of the US EPA's definition of Environmental Professional and conforms to ASTM's requirements for conducting Phase I Environmental Site Evaluations.
